What are some cheap alternatives for a stained glass project?
I was thinking plastic wrap or those cheap plastic see-through folders, but I want to know what would be best. My project involves making a thin, slightly large (maybe 5×6 ft, I could make several smaller ones) image using something that looks like stained glass, but obviously isn’t. My budget isn’t very much, so the cheaper the better. Thanks!
recycled containers, clear pop bottles , clear water bottles, clear plastic jars, old Plexiglas like see through sleeves, there are coloured sleeves as well, check dollar stores and craft stores, not sure what plastic paints you may use or simple food coloring, or marker inks, you could see if old ziplock bags are strong enough to color and glue or attach to stain glass, could test smaller pieces in a light catcher to see how light shines through in windows, not sure what frame work you are using bristol board, cardboard, toothpicks or wood, or metal, and different glues, contact cement, model airplane glue, hot glue gun, test those as well,
