Sea glass jewelry???
Hey, so I was at the beach about two months ago and me and my sister found a hwole bunch of beautiful seaglass. We heard that you could make nice jewelry out of it, so does anyone know how to make the jewelry and what we need? thanks so much!!
Buy a cheap jewelry making kit at a craft store such as Micheal’s. This will provide you with the little hook things that actually go through the ear (and are otherwise rather difficult to make yourself) and also should give you wire or small metal links and a tool such as needle nosed pliers for manipulating the wire or links.
Take your sea glass and (carefully) use a hand drill to drill small holes. You can then string the pieces of sea glass as through they were beads attaching them to the hooks with the wire or metal links.
*I recommend a hand drill because it will offer greater control over where your hole goes and will lessen your chances of shattering the glass. When selecting a drill bit, make sure that the bit will be large enough to accommodate your wire or metal links (because nothing sucks more than carefully crafting a hole and then realizing that you must re-drill it) but otherwise stick to the smallest possible size bits as this will lessen the chance that you will shatter the glass.
