Are watery acrylic paintings considered watercolour?
When you use watery acrylic paint to mimic a watercolor painting, can you still call it a watercolour painting?
No.
Watercolor paint is bound with Gum Arabic.
Acrylic paint is bound with resinous plastic.
Not even close to the same thing. If you call your acrylic painting watercolor you are not going to be taken seriously and you could even damage your reputation.
